COURSE: REC101 * A $450 Deposit is required to register. The $450 Deposit will be deducted from Course Cost and a $450 balance will be due within 2 weeks of first class date, unless other arrangements have been made. * Deposit will be deducted from Workshop Cost. RECORDING STUDIO ENGINEERING WORKSHOP LEVEL ONE This course is a part of STREETJAM'S TV INTERN MEDIA ARTS PROGRAM. You may use this site here to register on-line (as an initial registration deposit of $450 is required to reserve your seat). A Final payment of $450 is due on or before the first day our workshop begins. Students who successfully complete our entire program are eligible to apply for Internship Work with STREETJAM TELEVISION. This is Part 1 of a 4 Level Course. Satisfactory Completion of all 4 Levels is required in order to become eligible to apply for the Internship/Work Program with STREETJAM TV. INTRODUCTION TO RECORDING STUDIO ENGINEERING LEVEL 1 Students learn basic principles, operations and applications of Digital Audio Recording in a professional recording studio environment. Class sizes are limited to ensure maximum learning and intensive "hands on" training. This course includes: * Recording Studio Equipment & Language; * Velocity, Frequency & Loudness levels; * Digital Recording & Monitoring: * Signal Processing * Control Board Overview; * Control Room Overview; * Basic MIDI & Music Production; * Basic Sequencing, Quantization & Output; * Basic Sampling; * Basic Song Production using Cubase; * Output of Audio to Control Board; * Learning to Separate Tracks; * Output of Audio to Digital Recorders; * Basic Vocal Recording; * Basic Microphone Placement Techniques; * Basic Final Mixdowns: * Equalization * Vocal Effects Processors * Preparing Final Output to CDs.
